Earlier this year, Sachiko from the Tokyo Story concept store in Lausanne was presenting and selling a selection of beautiful pieces from her boutique at Japan Impact, the largest festival dedicated to Japanese culture in French-speaking Switzerland.
We were especially happy to see that among the many carefully curated items on her stand, Sachiko was also proudly presenting and selling Reichen & Bard bracelets.
Japan Impact is a remarkable event that takes place each year at EPFL in Lausanne, bringing together thousands of visitors for a weekend dedicated to Japanese culture — from traditional arts and crafts to anime, cosplay, music and creative workshops.
It is a vibrant and inspiring atmosphere, and we were delighted that our bracelets could be part of this celebration of creativity and craftsmanship.
Tokyo Story — a very special place in Lausanne
If you have not yet visited Tokyo Story, it is truly a special place. Located on Avenue de Cour in Lausanne, the boutique is a carefully curated concept store dedicated to slow fashion, unique objects and creative craftsmanship.
Sachiko has created a warm and inspiring space where visitors can discover:
beautiful vintage and pre-loved clothing
upcycled creations, often made from Japanese textiles such as kimonos
unique accessories and handmade jewelry
carefully selected pieces from independent creators
The philosophy behind the shop is rooted in creativity, sustainability and giving objects a second life, which resonates deeply with our own approach to slow and mindful making.
A place for creativity and workshops
Beyond being a beautiful boutique, Tokyo Story is also a place for creativity and exchange. Sachiko regularly hosts workshops and creative gatherings where people can explore different crafts, meet local makers and discover new skills.
It is also where Reichen & Bard hosts its Miyuki beading workshops, bringing together small groups for calm and creative moments of bead weaving.
Working with Sachiko is always a pleasure. Her enthusiasm for craftsmanship, her eye for beautiful objects and the welcoming atmosphere she creates in the shop make Tokyo Story a truly unique place in Lausanne.
A heartfelt thank you
Seeing our bracelets presented at Japan Impact was a wonderful surprise and a reminder of how meaningful creative collaborations can be.
Thank you, Sachiko, for supporting local makers and for sharing our work with such care.
And if you have not yet visited Tokyo Story, we warmly recommend stopping by — you may just discover something beautiful.
